Dr. Eleni Theodoraki is Reader at Edinburgh Napier Business School and Director of the Edinburgh Institute for Festival and Event Management. She researches in the area of organizational analysis, governance and mega events and regularly publishes her work in sport / event management, policy and governance journals. She is author of Olympic Event Organization (Amsterdam: Elsevier, 2007) and has worked for Olympic Games bid and organizing committees on Olympic education and strategic planning issues. Her commissioned / funded work includes research projects for the International Olympic Committee on the role of women in management, the British Academy on sport development in Sub Saharan Africa, East Potential on the impacts of the London 2012 Olympic Games preparations on social housing and the Edinburgh Festival City Theatres’ Trust on strategic development.
