Val Chinn is the co-founder and Managing Director of FSquared Ltd. FSquared works creatively and collaboratively to help organisations drive out the maximum social value and community benefits from their activities, by supporting ethical leaders to develop policies and processes that facilitate that aim. Val and the team then work to support those organisations to embed these new approaches throughout all their activities, and into their strategies, governance and operational practices.
Val has 25 years’ experience in management across public, private and third sector organisations. She has a background in Criminal Justice gained during her time at Merseyside Probation Service and in social enterprise and charity gained during her time as Chief Executive of The Big Issue in the North Company and The Big Issue in the North Trust.
In addition to this, Val has recently announced the launch of the FSquared Foundation, FSquared’s not-for-profit organisation. FSquared and the Foundation are now involved in a range of exciting opportunities and are looking forward to stimulating a market which demands added social value, to breaking down sectoral boundaries, and to supporting third sector organisations to respond to a real opportunity to make profound and lasting social impact.
